Who makes this list, and how

Boostio builds it every day from public sources

Which coins

The 250 largest coins by market cap in Boostio's daily coin universe of Oct 23, 2026 (market data from CoinGecko), largest first. Nobody picks or removes coins by hand. Pegged assets (stablecoins, gold tokens, tokenized funds) are listed but left out of the research. A coin beyond the 250 appears only when Boostio's own research follows it (a public Scout call or a house paper position), marked as a house coin.

Where holder data comes from

A coin that runs its own chain: that chain's public explorer or ledger API, where its terms allow showing the data (Ethereum, Ethereum Classic, Hedera, Stellar, Internet Computer and Kaspa today). A coin that lives as a token on another network: CoinGecko's onchain data for its main contract. A coin with neither says why, and what would add it. Nothing is estimated.

How fresh

Each list is refreshed once a day; the job runs at 05:47 and 17:47 UTC. Only the latest list is kept, with what changed since the one before, and a list older than 48 hours is not shown. Market caps as of Oct 23, 2026, 02:15 UTC.

What the labels are

Names come from the source: CoinGecko's wallet labels, Blockscout tags, StellarExpert's directory and Hedera's documented network accounts. Boostio sorts them into the classes below. An unlabelled account can be a person, a fund, an exchange or a contract, and Boostio does not guess.

The holder classes

  • Exchange or custodian walletsLabelled cold, hot or custody wallets: usually an exchange or custodian holding coins for many customers.
  • Project, treasury or locked supplyLabelled non-circulating, treasury, timelock, vesting, governance or distribution wallets.
  • Smart contractsLabelled staking, lending, pool, bridge or wrapper contracts: coins deposited there belong to many users.
  • Burned or unspendableThe zero address, a burn address or a wallet labelled as a burn: coins sent there are out of circulation.
  • Other labelled walletsA label that does not say what kind of holder it is, such as a multisig (Safe) wallet, a generic proxy contract or a named wallet.
  • Unlabelled walletsNo public label: a person, a fund, an exchange or a contract. Boostio does not guess.

How to read it

A label is a clue, a balance change is not a trade

Labellednot identified

A label is a clue

Sources label known accounts (exchange cold wallets, staking pools, treasuries). Boostio sorts them into classes and shows how much of the largest balances carries a label at all.

Concentratednot controlled

Concentration is not control

An exchange or a staking contract holds coins for many people. A high share at a few addresses tells you where to look, not who decides.

Balance changenot a trade

Coins move for many reasons

A big account growing or shrinking between two daily lists may be an exchange moving coins between its own addresses, a deposit into a contract or a transfer. Boostio never calls it a buy or sell.

No flagnot safe

The checks are not a rating

They look for a few specific signs, such as a mint authority or a large unlabelled account. They point at things to look into; no flag does not mean safe.

Questions

Crypto Rich Lists, answered

What is a crypto rich list?

The accounts holding the most of a coin, read from its blockchain. Boostio lists the 250 largest coins by market cap and, for each coin with a usable source, shows how concentrated it is, who the 20 largest accounts are (with the labels the source attaches to known accounts, such as exchange cold wallets, staking contracts and project treasuries) and what changed since the day before.

Who makes this list, and how?

Boostio builds it every day from public sources. The coins are CoinGecko's 250 largest by market cap, largest first; nobody picks or removes coins by hand. Holder data comes from the coin's own chain where an open source allows showing it (Ethereum, Ethereum Classic, Hedera, Stellar, Internet Computer and Kaspa today) and from CoinGecko's onchain data for coins that live as a token contract. Only the latest list is kept, with the changes since the one before.

Why do XRP or Bitcoin have no holder list?

Every large coin is listed, but a holder list needs a source that publishes the largest accounts and allows showing them. For XRP, the free XRP Ledger rich-list API is licensed for non-commercial use only; for Bitcoin, Litecoin and Dogecoin, the ranked-address APIs need a paid key. Each coin's brief says what is missing and what would add it. Boostio shows nothing rather than an estimate, and for Bitcoin and Ether it shows what public companies disclose holding.

Does a big account mean one person owns that much?

Often not. An exchange account holds coins for many customers, a staking or bridge contract holds coins many users deposited, and a project treasury may be locked. An unlabelled account can be anyone. That is why Boostio sorts the largest accounts into classes and shows how much of their balance carries a label at all.

Is a change in a big account a trade?

Not necessarily. Between two daily lists an account's balance can change because coins moved to another address of the same owner, to or from an exchange, or into a contract. Boostio reports balance changes and never calls them buys or sells.
