Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 26, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information Boostio collects, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. Boostio is operated by Marketing Hog.
1. Who we are
Boostio is operated by Marketing Hog (“Marketing Hog”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), which runs the website at boostio.com and related tools (the “Service”). Boostio is a product of Marketing Hog. Questions? Reach us through our contact form.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Account information. When you create an account we collect your email address and a password. Passwords are stored only as a salted cryptographic hash; we never store your password in plain text.
- Portfolio and preferences. If you use member features, we store the holdings, price targets, alert settings, and similar information you enter so we can show your private dashboard. This data is yours and is never mixed with the public Boostio house book.
- Payments. When you start a paid membership, payment is processed by Stripe. We receive a confirmation and limited transaction details (such as amount, status, and an identifier) and store identifiers that link your account to your subscription. We do not collect or store your full card number.
- Communications. If you email us or submit a request, we keep that message and our reply.
Information we collect automatically
- Usage and log data. Pages and features you use, timestamps, approximate location derived from IP, browser and device type, and error logs.
- Cookies. See “Cookies” below.
3. How we use information
- To provide the Service: run your account, member dashboard, alerts, and emails.
- To process payments and manage your subscription, and to prevent fraud or abuse.
- To operate, secure, debug, and improve the Service.
- To communicate with you about your account, receipts, security, and support.
- To comply with law and enforce our Terms of Service.
4. Cookies
We use a small set of strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to protect forms against cross-site request forgery. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. You can block cookies in your browser, but parts of the Service may stop working.
5. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as follows:
- Service providers. Trusted vendors who process data on our behalf, including a payment processor (Stripe), an email provider used to send transactional and alert emails, and infrastructure and security providers that host and protect the site (such as our hosting provider and Cloudflare).
- Legal and safety. When we believe disclosure is required by law, or is needed to protect the rights, safety, or property of Marketing Hog, our users, or the public.
- Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, in which case we will continue to protect your information consistent with this policy.
6. Payment data
Card payments are handled by Stripe, our payment processor, on behalf of Marketing Hog. Stripe processes your card details under its own privacy policy; we receive only limited confirmation and transaction data and never your full card number.
7. Data retention
We keep account and portfolio information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, and we keep transaction records as required for accounting, tax, and fraud-prevention purposes. You can ask us to delete your account and associated data as described below.
8. Security
We protect your information with measures appropriate to its sensitivity, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), salted hashing of passwords, scoped access controls, and a backend that is not directly exposed to the public internet. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. Residents of the EEA and UK have rights under the GDPR; residents of California have rights under the CCPA/CPRA. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. To exercise a right, reach us through our contact form or use the controls in your account.
10. Children
The Service is intended only for users who are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, provide additional notice. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
12. Contact us
